It's the 2nd Round of DNYCS Tokyo, the first DNYCS of the 2016 season. Today we'll be featuring a match between two players that have both win their respective first Round matches.
! ! ! !Rainbow Dash will be using their Infernoid deck against the Kozmo deck piloted by Redgamer7.
Kozmo was a strong deck around the time of DNYCS Worlds half a year ago, and is still a force to be reckoned with now. Infernoid on the other hand are often seen as the underdog. It's not the strongest deck out there, but it's certainly a deck you have to be wary of. It's gotten 2nd place at a DNYCS last season, and won a real-life DNYCS last year as well.
Let's find out which of these two decks will triumph today!

Redgamer7 wins Rock-Paper-Scissors, and chooses to go 2nd.

Game 1

Rainbow Dash starts off the duel with an Upstart Goblin, allowing them to draw 1 card, while giving Redgamer 1000 free Life Points. (Redgamer7 8000--->9000) Rainbow Dash activates Charge of the Light Brigade. Infernoid Seistemas, Reasoning and Infernoid Decatron are sent to the Graveyard. Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is added to the hand. Rainbow Dash Normal Summons Raiden. Redgamer immediately responds with Effect Veiler, making Raiden unable to send additional cards to Rainbow Dash's Graveyard. Rainbow Dash then activates a 2nd Upstart Goblin, which increases Redgamer's Life Points by another 1000 points. (Redgamer7 9000-->10000) One Spell/Trap card is Set, and Rainbow Dash ends their turn.

Redgamer draws their card during the Draw Phase, and then immediately sees Rainbow Dash activate their Set card; Anti-Spell Fragrance. Redgamer Summons Kozmoll Wickedwitch and uses it to attack Raiden. (! ! ! !Rainbow Dash 8000-->7800) Redgamer then Sets a Field Spell in additional to a card in the S/T Zone, after which they end their turn.

Rainbow Dash Summons Infernoid Decatron. Decatron's effect is activated, but Redgamer responds with Solemn Strike. (Redgamer7 10000-->8500) Rainbow Dash banishes both Decatron from their Graveyard to Summon Infernoid Seitsemas from the same location. Seitsemas attacks Wickedwitch, but the latter isn't destroyed by battle due to Redgamer activating Wickedwitch's effect. (Redgamer7 8500-->7500) Battle damage is still applied normally. (Redgamer7 7500-->6800) At the end of the Battle Phase, Infernoid Seitsemas' effect activates and banishes Kozmotown. Rainbow Dash Sets 1 S/T and ends their turn.

Redgamer Summons Kozmo Tincan and end then ends their turn. In the End Phase, Kozmo Tincan's effect activates. (Redgamer7 6800-->6300) Redgamer reveals Kozmo Dark Destroyer, Kozmo Sliprider and Kozmo Dark Eclipser. Rainbow Dash rolls with a dice, which adds Sliprider to Redgamer's hand and leaving the other two monsters in the Graveyard.

Rainbow Dash starts their turn by immediately entering the Battle Phase. Seitsemas attacks Kozmo Tincan. Tincan's effect is activated, banishing itself to Summon Kozmo Sliprider in DEF position. Sliprider's effect destroys Anti-Spell Fragrance. A Replay occurs. Seitsemas instead attacks Wickerwitch, whose effect saves it from being destroyed in battle once more. (Redgamer7 6300-->5300-->4600) Seitsemas' effect activates and banishes Wickedwitch. One card is Set, and the turn is ended.

Redgamer activates Kozmotown. Its effect adds Wickedwitch back to the hand from the banished pile. (Redgamer7 4600-->4200) Kozmotown's other effect that shuffles that same Wickedwitch into the deck to allow Redgamer to draw 1 card. They then Normal Summon Kozmo Goodwitch, activating its effect to flip Seitsemas into face-down DEF position. (Redgamer7 4200-->3700) Sliprider is switched to ATK position, and Redgamer enters the Battle Phase. Goodwitch attacks and destroys Seitsemas. Sliprider follows up with a direct attack, after which Redgamer ends their turn. (! ! ! !Rainbow Dash 7800-->5500)

Rainbow Dash banishes Seitsemas from their Graveyard to Special Summon Infernoid Harmadik from their hand. Harmadik's effect destroys Goodwitch. Rainbow Dash then activates their Set Burial from a Different Dimension, returning Seitsemas and both Decatron back to the Graveyard. Redgamer sees a Special Summon coming up and responds by activating Maxx "C". Rainbow Dash banishes both Decatron a 2nd time to Summon Seitsemas a 2nd time. This allows Redgamer to draw 1 card. Seitsemas attacks and destroys Sliprider. (Redgamer7 3700-->3400) Redgamer activates Sliprider's effect, banishing itself to Summon Kozmo Tincan from the Deck in DEF position. With Harmadik not being able to attack due to their effect, the Battle Phase ends there. This activates Seitsemas' effect, which banishes Tincan. Rainbow Dash ends their turn.

At this point, Redgamer has a disadvantage in Life Points, and in field presence as well. They only control Kozmotown, and will have 3 cards in their hand after drawing when they start their turn. what can they do to turn this duel around?

Redgamer activates the first effect of Kozmotown, adding Kozmo Tincan back to his hand. (Redgamer7 3400-->3300) Kozmotown's 2nd effect then shuffles Tincan and a Kozmo Farmgirl back into the deck to allow Redgamer to draw 2 new cards. Redgamer Summons Kozmoll Wickedwitch, which attacks Harmadik. Rainbow Dash activates Harmadik's effect, tributing itself to banish Solemn Strike from Redgamer's Graveyard. A Replay occurs and Redgamer decides to cancel their attack. They Set 1 card, and end their turn. In their End Phase though, Rainbow Dash activates their Set Twin Twister. Infernoid Attondel is discarded, and Redgamer's Set card is destroyed; Artifact Sanctum. Sanctum's effect targets Seitsemas, whose effect activates to Tribute itself and banish Effect Veiler from Redgamer's Graveyard.

Yes, Artifact Sanctum. We haven't seen it before during this match, but Redgamer's Kozmo deck seems to onclude at least some Artifact cards. Will these cards be able to help them claim victory?

Rainbow Dash will only have 2 cards in their hand after drawing, but they do have Harmadik, Seitsemas and Attondel in their Graveyard. Let's see what move they'll make next.

Rainbow Dash starts their turn by banishing Harmadik and Attondel from their Graveyard to Summon the same Seitsemas to the field for a 3rd time this duel. Seitsemas attacks Wickedwitch. Also for the 3rd time, Wickedwitch uses its effect to not be destroyed by battle. (Redgamer7 3300-->2300-->1600) Seitsemas' effect banishes Kozmotown. During Main Phase 2 Rainbow Dash activates Monster Gate. They Tribute Seitsemas. Reasoning, Upstart Goblin, Reasoning, Infernoid Harmadik and Infernoid Devyaty are sent to the Graveyard. Infernoid Decatron is Summoned in DEF position. Decatron's effect sends Harmadik from the deck to the Graveyard. Harmadik is banished from the Graveyard to Special Summon Infernoid Patrulea from Rainbow Dash's hand. Rainbow Dash then sends Decatron and Patrulea to the Graveyard as Synchro materials to Synchro Summon PSY-Framelord Omega. They then banish Harmadik, Decatron and Patrulea from the Graveyard to Summon Infernoid Devyaty from the Graveyard in DEF position. Rainbow Dash ends their turn after that.

During the Standby Phase of Redgamer's turn, PSY-Framelord Omega's effect allows Rainbow Dash to add Infenroid Attondel back to their Graveyard. In the Main Phase, Redgamer activates Emergency Teleport, which Summons Kozmo Strawman in DEF position. Strawman's effect is activated to Special Summon Sliprider. (Redgamer7 1600-->1100) Rainbow Dash decides to use Devyaty's effect to negate and banish Strawman, Tributing Devyaty in the process. Redgamer Sets a card, to which Rainbow Dash immediately replies with Omega's effect, banishing Omega and Redgamer's final hand card until Rainbow Dash's next Stanby Phase. Redgamer's final card is revealed to be Twin Twisters. They switch Wickedwitch to DEF position and end their turn.

In Rainbow Dash's Standby Phase, Omega returns to the field and Twin Twisters returns to Redgamer's hand. Rainbow Dash banishes Attondel and Devyaty from their Graveyard to Special Summon... you guessed it... Infernoid Seitsemas. That's the 4th time already. Seitsemas attacks Wickedwitch, slso for the 4th time. Except this time Wickedwitch is in DEF position. She still uses her effect though. (Redgamer7 1100-->100) Seitsemas' effect banishes Wickedwitch at the end of the Battle Phase. Rainbow Dash Sets 1 card and ends their turn.

As with Redgamer's last Standby Phase, Rainbow Dash uses Omega's effect to return Infernoid Attondel to the Graveyard. Redgamer cannot do anything more than Set 1 card and pass.

The advantage seems really strong. Can Rainbow Dash finish this first duel this turn?

Rainbow Dash immediately enters the Battle Phase and attacks directly with PSY-Framelord Omega. Redgamer activates his Set Twin Twisters, discarding Kozmotown to destroy Rainbow Dash's Set Twin Twisters and their own Artifact Moralltach. Moralltach's effect is activated, but it's stopped by Infernoid Devyaty! Redgamer doesn't have any cards reamining on their field or in their hand! Redgamer realises this and admits defeat.

After having had the advantage for most of the duel, it's ! ! ! !Rainbow Dash that takes the first game. (! ! ! !Rainbow Dash 1 0 Redgamer7)

Both players side, and resume the game. Redgamer decides to go 2nd.

DNYCS Tokyo Top 8 Deck Lists

With 64 competitors coming into this event only 8 made it to the Top Cut. 2 Kozmo, 2 Monarchs, 2 Dracopals, 1 Burning Abyss and 1 D/D deck made up for that. In the end came down to a Kozmo mirror as the other decks were knocked off. In the end GreydoneFR defeated Ultra Plant 3-2 and is the winner of DNYCS Tokyo! So Congratulations to him. I'd like to mention that Ritual Beasts got 9th and Madolche Magicians got 10th as they just missed the Top Cut. We're soon due for a list and as we leave Japan back to Europe we'll be in Athens, Greece soon. I'll have a set date when we get the new ban list. If there's any feedback or anything let me know, would appreciate it. Thanks to @Auke1993 for recording matches and to @Cosmos. for the help he did. So until then, じゃあね!

Notes & Guidelines:

  • Report victories by PM-ing me the Score and BOTH screenshots: Victory and Siding. Failing to do so will result in a disqualification.

DO NOT POST YOUR SIDING/VICTORY SCREENS HERE.

  • Only report your victories, report inactivity of your opponent with the proper screens (DN AND DNF) or any other issue directly related to this Clash. Any other posts will be marked as spam.
  • Extensions can be given if you are unable to complete your match within the time given, just message AshBunLuv about it. It may or may not be granted. Extensions will be 24 hours maximum. Extensions WILL NOT be granted to inactive members.
  • Please be aware that deck changing is not allowed at any time during this tournament. In addition to that, if you changed it in Round 1: You can either continue with the deck that you changed it to if it's altered a little of the previous deck, or else you'll be forced to re-do your match with the deck you originally sent. If it is Round 2 or later you must redo the whole match with the original deck you sent in [We will PM you on DNF your original deck]. If your deck is modified to anti-deck your opponent, then you will be disqualified.
  • Rounds last 3 days each. Second round ends on 16th March.

Inactivity:

You will be considered inactive in the following situations:

  • Being offline for at least 36 consecutive hours.
  • You are permabanned during the Clash [Note: If you are permabanned before the Clash begins, you are allowed to play on an alternate account].
  • You are banned temporarily, and your ban will not end before the current round ends.
  • You are dodging, as in, refusing to complete your match. The 3rd denial to duel is considered dodging and will result in a disqualification.

No participants may evade a ban to compete in a DN Tournament. You will be disqualified for inactivity at the END of a round, except in extreme cases. Repeated inactivity will result in a ban from all Tournaments.
